The Rail-Trail Council is developing the 38 mile trail in eastern Susquehanna County. Ten miles improved from Forest City to Herrick. Great for biking, hiking, running and cross-county skiing.
The Rail-Trail Council of NEPA, Inc. is a non-profit organization developing recreational trails in northeastern Pennsylvania. The office is located in the Borough of Union Dale, Susquehanna County, in the Cables Store Building, alongside the D&H Rail-Trail. The RTC has over 1400 members who support the organization with membership dollars and volunteer hours. The Board is made up of 30 members, a part-time executive director, and a part-time program manager.

Clifford Township Historical Society, Inc., is a non-profit organization and its mission is the collection, documentation and preservation of historical information and memorabilia relating to the early settlement of Clifford and the surrounding areas with the goal of fostering in our residents an appreciation of our area’s rich history through community programs, exhibits and events which reflect and fulfill those interests.
We have 35 upgraded sites, all with water, sewer and metered 30- and/or 50-amp electric, and cable television. Several sites will accommodate RVs up to 40 ft in length. Additional amenities include a dump station; complimentary cable and a Wi-Fi hot spot. Laundry service and firewood are also available (fee). Within a short walking distance is the Tunkhannock Creek, an idyllic spot for swimming.
